About Elva Diaz

Elva Diaz is a Marriage Family Therapist with a Limited Permit. She graduated from Touro University with a Masters Degree in Marriage Family Therapy. Elva has her Bachelor’s in Human Services and has over 10 years of experience working with the immigrant population. Elva’s main role as a Case Manager is to assess for human trafficking with the ultimate goal of safely reunifying the minors that were apprehended at the border. Elva is an empathetic and compassionate individual who listens and understands what the client is sharing. Elva utilizes therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is a structured, goal-oriented type of talk therapy. It can help manage mental health conditions, such as depression and anxiety, and emotional concerns, such as coping with stress.

Elva is bilingual and speaks fluent Spanish and English.
